From Blacksburg to Charleston…
Posted on June 30, 2008
I have been doing a lot of traveling recently and two of my most recent trips have been to VATech and Charleston for engagement sessions. I love engagement sessions because we have a lot of fun and I even get a glimpse of your personality when it is just the two of you. It is so much fun!
Here is Michelle and Brandon. They met at school and so of course we had to do their engagement session on campus.

And here’s Lauren and Scott…fellow Tar Heel peeps….and trust me, it didn’t take long to get a glimpse of their personality! They are crazy and full of energy!

They loved to jump!

Little Red
Posted on June 26, 2008
Well, if mom used to be known as “Big Red”, then shouldn’t her son be known as “Little Red”?! Especially if his hair is redder and even brighter than moms! I was in Raleigh last week meeting little red and just had the best time as he showed me his books, his rocks, his grandparents yard…etc. I think he really loves his home and was so anxious to share it with me!
I thought that instead of showing multiple pictures from the session, I would show you a newly designed storyboard. These are so much fun and go perfectly in a child’s room!

Little Sophia is ONE!
Posted on June 24, 2008
Happy Birthday, Sophia! I have been documenting her growing since she was in the belly and it is so exciting to see all of the new things she has learned in such a short amount of time. She loves her books, bubbles, looking in the mirror and at other pictures, and her mommy and daddy. She has so much personality!

Thanks, Aspen!
Posted on June 17, 2008
A couple of weeks ago I photographed Aspen and Jay’s wedding. I have worked with Aspen for well over a year now and would like to think that we have become friends through all of it! Well, to my surprise she hands me a wrapped box on the day of her wedding. She actually got me a gift! In the midst of planning (and trust me, when I say planning, I mean EVERY single detail….if you need a director for your wedding, she would be a great one to call!) she found these cute little cards and had them personalized for me. How adorable! I just had to share!

Hana + Darren
Posted on June 12, 2008
Several Saturdays ago Hana and Darren got married at the beautiful Kilburnie Inn in Lancaster, SC. It was a perfect day to get married outside! And if you are currently looking for a location to get married I can recommend the Kilburnie Inn. It has a rustic charm that makes for such a lovely and relaxed environment to get married.
When I took this image this is what I saw so I had to do a little work in Photoshop to make it fulfill my vision. I really love the vintage look it created.

Another portrait of the beautiful bride.

And the crazy Volunteer girls! V-O-L-S!

Some details….everything was so fresh and spring!

And here we have the handsome groom. (not a Vols fan…..played football across the street at Vandy!)

And the groomsmen…can you tell that they all met on the football field?! Such a fun-loving group of guys!

Every girls dream….to be carried away on horse and carriage!

A quick portrait before the party starts.

This was their last dance. The entire floor cleared so that could have one last moment on their wedding day.

And the exit……

Tomorrow, Thursday night, we are having Art Crawl in Downtown Hickory. I will be hosting Daniel Charles, an abstract oil painter that paints HUGE canvases. He is really talented and I look forward to seeing what he has to display. There will also be musicians, potters, more painters and free wine! To get all of the information, click HERE. Hope to see all of you there!
