Welcome baby Amelia

Well Sophia is a big sister! I have been watching Sophia grow up since birth and now I have the privilege of watching Amelia grow up right beside of her. I know Sophia is going to be a great big sister and the two of them are going to have so much fun playing together as they get older!

I now understand how hard it is to stop looking at your newborn! They just grow too fast so mommy is taking it all in!

She has now doubled her birth weight, which just amazes me! She is growing entirely too fast but it is so much fun to watch her grow and develop. She is smiling more and she is trying so hard to talk!

Laura’s Bridal

Yesterday Justin and Laura were married here in Hickory and it was absolutely beautiful! They are such a fun couple and I know there will be many laughs shared between the two of them!
Now that they are married I can finally share some of her bridals! She found a great location at a house on Lake Hickory just across from Dale Jarrett’s home. It was a beautiful day with lot’s of sun!

A Visit from the Swedes

The past two weeks we have been spending time with Martin’s parents who came from Sweden to see their first granddaughter! We had such a wonderful visit and it was incredibly hard to say good-bye. We are both close to our families and getting on that plane is just a miserable experience and I have to say it only gets worse! Love hurts, right? Well, I thought I’d share a few pictures from the visit. I realized after going through my pictures that most of the pictures were taken on my point and shoot so there weren’t many.

Here she is with her grandparents….in Swedish they are called FarFar (paternal grandfather) and FarMor (paternal grandmother)

Kajsa made a quick friend! She may look worried in this picture but I think she actually likes it! I think she really misses her farfar!

Saturday was my first wedding as a mommy and it felt good to get back to work!

Marie has been planning this wedding for a long time and I was excited to see all of the effort pay off…I knew there would not be a detail looked over! There are many images to share, but for now I leave you with the bride and groom…married after a year romance!

I received a lot of gifts (or should I say Olivia received a lot of gifts?!) before our little one was born. One of my favorite gifts was a hand-made blanket made by Erica, my right hand over at the studio. Not only is she a talented photographer but she can sew! I just love this blanket and we have already used it a ton! She has decided to sell them and I wanted all the Orange Cat blog addicts first dibs on this cute little blanket.

You will notice ribbon “hooks” on it is so that you can attach your baby’s favorite little toys, which is perfect for tummy time. I have also used mine to cover the car seat when we are out to protect her from germs and have wrapped it around her when she is cold.

There are definite perks to just having a baby besides the obvious. Martin’s parents are here visiting from Sweden and his mom is the best baker! Yesterday she made a big batch of cinnamon rolls. Delicious!

And big sister Kajsa was wondering why the baby gets to be on the blog so often and not her! So of course I had to make sure she didn’t feel neglected! She has been such a good big sister. She always has to check on Olivia when she is crying to make sure we are taking care of her!
