Erica had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful wedding at the Biltmore. She did such a fabulous job of capturing every thoughtful detail and beauty of the day. She had the opportunity to work with BobbyMark’s Designs who did the planning, design, and florals for the wedding. Biltmore is a beautiful place, but wow, did they really take it over the top!
Here are a few of the images:

Love it when Vera shows up for the party:

Peonies are my favorite and this bouquet by BobbyMark’s Designs is simply romantic.

Olivia (because I know you can’t get enough of her!)
Posted on September 22, 2009
I know it looks like all I do these days is take pictures of my baby, and okay, I am probably guilty of doing a lot of that but it is not ALL I do! But I do have more pics to share of her. A lot of you probably don’t realize it but I use this blog for her grandparents in Sweden to watch her grow….so it is not just because I sit around and just take pictures of her! I also have lot’s to share including a gorgeous Biltmore wedding and some bridals that I can soon finally release!
But for now I leave you with my sweetie-pie…

Women’s Show
Posted on September 9, 2009
We are busily preparing for the Catawba Women’s Show here at the Orange Cat Studio. This is a very exciting event which caters to women of the Catawba Valley. There will be speakers, fashion shows, and all sorts of vendors ranging from women’s health issues to jewelry. It is definitely a show not to miss!
I am also excited to announce that I have been asked to speak at this event. I will be speaking about maximizing the use of your point and shoot. I will give about a 20 minute presentation on how to use your point and shoot to make your family photos better. This will be for beginners but will have relevant information for all levels.
Women’s Show hours are Saturday, Sept. 12th from 10-6
Sunday, Sept 13th from 12-6
I will be speaking on Sunday at 4:30. Look forward to seeing you there!
Here’s an example of photograph I took while on vacation with my mom’s point and shoot. This image is straight out of camera with NO photoshop work done to it at all. Anyone can take this shot and I will show you how during my presentation.

Happy Birthday!

Amelia
Posted on September 3, 2009
Well I am in the process of putting up new images on my site and found this session I did a month or so ago. I can’t believe I never blogged this! I have been following baby Amelia since she was born and it has been so much fun to watch her grow. She just gets cuter and cuter every time I see her!
Here are a couple from that session:

Swedish word of the day
Posted on September 2, 2009
SVAMP…..
means mushroom and you pronounce it pretty much the way you see it. Swedes love mushrooms, especially the yellow ones you see below. They are called “kantareller” but also referred to as forest gold. A lot of Swedes go out and “hunt” for the mushrooms themselves. As with almost everything, Martin is really good at finding them. I am terrible at it…I am better at picking the wild blueberries and eating them while I wait!
So here’s a few of the mushrooms, but also some other of the Swedish landscape….

And this is a sign of where Martin is from…
