Apparently that’s what Mira Simone was saying during the maternity session we were doing with her mommy and sister. Our session started a 6 and she was born at 9:45! Talk about cutting it close! The amazing thing is looking at the pictures and seeing how beautiful and happy mommy was during the session. She is smiling and laughing…all while in labor! I am amazed by this super-mom. She now has two and to go to her house and see how put together she looks despite no sleep, a newborn and a toddler! You are an inspiration! Here are a few from both sessions.
These were some of the last images we took…probably only about 2 hours before Ms Mira decided to say hello! I am amazed…
And here she is…the beautiful and very sleepy Mira Simone. What a good baby! She slept the whole time I was there.
Love the red hair, but then again I’m partial!

On the move

The hardest time to photograph a baby/toddler is when they just learn how to walk…they have been sitting around for a year and now they have the freedom to go wherever they want to go and telling them to sit still is futile. And who can blame them?! Well not me, so I just run with them! Little Owen is getting so big and boy can he move! He’s been walking awhile so he is fast! He is so stinkin’ cute too!

Cake and lemonade

Well Olivia had a great day yesterday! The weather was magnificent and we had such a fun day. She had cake and some of papaw’s lemonade, which I didn’t realize until quite a few sips…but hey, it’s her birthday she should be able to live it up! Here’s a couple of shots with her balloons and birthday outfit.

One Year

Today marks the day that I became a mom for the very first time to my sweet little girl. My baby is one! Hard to believe how fast time has gone. She has grown so fast! In honor of her first birthday I thought I’d share just a few from her first year.
Here’s one from her first photo shoot just days after we got home. Thanks to my pal, Katy Cook, for these beautiful images!

After a week or so, I picked the camera back up and started shooting. What a sweet smile!
It didn’t take her long to start filling out…she doubled her weight by 2 months!

Sporting the Carolina Blue! Go Heels! She was born only 2 weeks before they won the National Championship. I was at the first round games 3 days before she was born!
And here she is at ONE! She is beautiful, funny, cuddly, and has a great sense of humor. This year has been indescribable….she has come into our hearts and warmed our hearts beyond measure! Happy Birthday my little sweet girl!

SNOW!

Well we are not in Sweden anymore but who would guess it? I am lovin all of this beautiful white fluff we are receiving and I know this won’t be popular with many others in this area but keep it coming! We had to venture out yesterday to get a change of scenery. Olivia had fun in the park and here’s a shot from our little outing.

Sweet Baby James

Well babies are just everywhere these days! I have really enjoyed photographing newborns this time of year. After Christmas I really started thinking about last year at this time and sort of miss all of the excitement and anticipation I had over my little one. It is such a special time and I really appreciate the opportunity to document these moments!
Here’s one for the snow we are supposed to be getting. Doesn’t he look so cozy?!

Anna Kate

I was so excited that Anna Kate finally decided to come into the world! And I can not get over how much hair she has…pretty sure she had more than I had when I was 2 years old. She is beautiful; congratulations you two!

Sweet Laney

I love to see families grow! Lauren and Kyle got married about 2 years ago and now they are welcoming their first little one; a sweet, sweet, girl that looks just like her mother! I love to do newborn sessions and if you are interested in doing a newborn session, please call me as soon as you can. I like to do newborn sessions before a week old; otherwise they have a chance of getting baby acne and they stop sleeping so nicely. Laney was such a good sport…she is such a good baby! Congratulations, Lauren and Kyle!

Cute Hat!

Everytime I walk into Bada’s Boutique in downtown Conover, I can’t help but pick up a hat! She has some of the cutest things and if you are still shopping for that perfect something for a child or baby you can’t go wrong here! Here’s a pic of Olivia.
