I have known Kennedy’s mommy since we were in the second grade. We have been friends ever since! I am so happy for Erin and Mark and their new arrival, little Kennedy. I know they will be wonderful parents and I think she’s already got dad wrapped around her little finger!

Newborns

I have had such a great summer and the surprise has been just how many newborns I have been able to meet and work with! I just love shooting newborn sessions….seeing mom and dad so happy and enjoying a little time away from work to take care of their new little bundle of joy is so nice. I thought I would share a few from a recent newborn session.

Eli the pug was especially protective of his new house mate. He stayed close and kept an eye on me….what a cute dog!

Tammy + Davis = Austin!

I have been seeing my very good friends, Tammy and Davis pretty often here lately. We did a “belly” shoot several weeks ago….it was so much fun and Tammy looked so good! I think most expecting moms would be jealous! And just about a week ago little Austin was born. He is so sweet and teeny-tiny! Congratulations you two! I am so happy for both of you!

Welcome to the world, little man!

As you can see, he is most happy in mommy’s arms!

Little Sophia is ONE!

Happy Birthday, Sophia! I have been documenting her growing since she was in the belly and it is so exciting to see all of the new things she has learned in such a short amount of time. She loves her books, bubbles, looking in the mirror and at other pictures, and her mommy and daddy. She has so much personality!

Easter Kids

Well Easter came and went all too quick! As you probably know I had a little Easter party at the studio and got to meet so many new little faces. And adorable they all were! I think I met the cutest kids in the Hickory area! Here are a few from the day:

All of the pictures taken can be made into a storyboard, which is an adorable, unique idea to hang in their room, give to grandparents, etc. They are mounting onto mat board and are 10″x20″. They cost $110 and can be customized to your liking! You can also have them gallery mounted, which means they are mounted onto a black board and come ready to hang!

Swedish Babies Part II

The next Swedish baby that I have had the chance to meet was also just a bump in a belly last time I was here. My sister-in-law had her second boy soon after we left last year and we have been so excited to finally get to meet him.

He is such a calm and observant baby. He just looks around and takes everything in. Here are a few images of him and his mom and big brother.

This little guy will walk before he ever crawls. He has absolutely no interest in crawling and loves to walk around!

Here are couple with big brother Linus. And when I say big, I mean a seven year old that is almost as tall as me! (okay, so maybe that is not saying much!)

Swedish babies Part I

This week I met a baby that was just a bulge in a belly last time I was here. It is so exciting to get to meet your friends’ children for the first time and try to figure out who she takes after and who she looks like. Well little Alice looks like her mom sometimes and then her dad sometimes…so it is really hard to decide. I guess all in all she is Alice; playful, happy, curious, and very out-going. Here are a few pictures of her with her mamma and pappa, like they say in Sweden.

I think she was a little hungry while we were taking pictures.

She smiles with her whole face! She is so sweet!

I love this look she is giving dad. She is really taking in everything he is saying!

I love this website! It is a collaboration of literally thousands of artists and crafty people. There are all kinds of arts and crafts to choose from and finding the perfect gift is simple. There is a featured artist page, a page to search for something by color or region, and a gift buying guide. I hate going to malls and fighting crowds and I love to support artists pursuing there passion so this is the perfect site for my Christmas shopping. And if you are leary of buying from a complete stranger, every artist’s page has a rating to let you know how pleased other customers have been with them.

Last week I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with baby Graham and his mommy and daddy. His dad is a fellow Tar Heel, so it is always fun to talk sports with him. (At least now that basketball season has kicked off!) Graham is just the happiest, easy-going baby anyone could ever dream of having and we had so much fun! Here are a few shots.
