It almost felt weird to write 2011…I really don’t know where the time is going!

This has been a wonderful year. I have worked with some really great brides…many have been friends of past brides, siblings of friends, and even the daughter of my high school teachers! I feel blessed to go to a wedding and see so many I know. I feel honored to be trusted with such an important job!

Yes, she is as sweet as she looks! I have been so excited to post these images of Catherine. I met them at her Great-Aunt’s plantation just outside of Charleston one beautiful Saturday. I had so much fun with her family…I think we laughed the entire time! Like, I said, she is just as sweet as she looks! Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your day!

Working on a big hugantic blog post from my Swedish wedding that will include lot’s of interesting facts about the difference between weddings there and here but until then, wanted to post a quick teaser from Ashley’s bridal session. Do I need to state the obvious here?! G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!

Angela was such a brave bride! She wanted pictures on the rock, but boy did we get a chilly day! It was worth it, though.

We stopped in Blowing Rock for a few. Love all of the orange accents!

Well I can finally share these beautiful images now that LeAnne and Scott have tied the knot! LeAnne is a true beauty…she is one of those girls that just glow from the inside out. She has a great personality and from the moment I met her I immediately felt a bond with her. I met her hubby Scott years ago at a camp with both worked with and I am so happy that he has found such a great life partner! I wish both of you the best for all the years to come!

It looks like this week is bridal week! I am loving posting all of these fun bridals…what fun ladies I have had the opportunity to work with! Amanda had peacocks as her theme for her wedding and she carried it through all way down to her toes. She is so cute and stylish! Here are a few from her session.

When shooting bridals on location you never know what is going to be yelled out by a passer by…especially in Catawba County! I don’t remember what this guy said, but we both laughed the rest of the session over it!

I LOVE receiving my anthro magazine every month…not only is the clothing inspiring, but the photographs are gorgeous. Great locations, beautiful muted tones…I could go on and on. Well I took that inspiration when I approached these bridals and I think the results turned out perfect. I am so excited to share these!

This past Saturday I had the privilege of documenting the beautiful (but hot!) wedding for Sara and Adam. She was absolutely gorgeous from the outside in…really couldn’t ask for a sweeter, down-to-earth bride to work with. Here is a quick look from her bridal session. A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Shannon. She got married not that long ago. Unfortunately I was already booked and couldn’t shoot her wedding, but we did manage to get together for a bridal session. She came all the way from Baton Rouge, leaving the flood behind her only to be greeted with monsoon weather the day of our shoot! But it worked out and we managed to get some nice shots. It even cleared up enough to go outside for a few.

This home belonged to her grandparents and several generations before that so it meant a lot to her to be able to do the portraits here. This was her grandmother’s sitting room.

She is in veterinarian school and loves animals so we found a horse that was willing to cooperate!

On Saturday Kristen Shook became Kristen Saine! It was a beautiful wedding and no detail was left out! The weather could have been better, but the rain let up just in time to do some fun outside portraits. You will get to see those soon, but first I thought I would share her bridal portraits.
