Oktoberfest

This weekend, downtown Hickory will be hosting it’s annual Oktoberfest.  There will be music, food, and arts and crafts. It is always fun and always draws a large crowd.  So if you are in the area and need something to do…come on by!  Here’s a link with all of the info:

OUT OF TOWN

Just another reminder that I will be out of town starting tomorrow until next Monday. (Sept. 20-28)

I will be shooting and learning all sorts of new tricks and being inspired with four of the country’s best female photographers. I am so excited! But unfortunately I will be away from the office with limited email availability. But please email me should you need anything! dana@orangecatphoto.com

I am so excited to official announce a group I have been a part of for quite some time…….

THE NINE

We are a group of ladies that are also photographers that have joined together to inspire, support and encourage one another. It has already been such a blessing to be a part of this exciting group as we share our lives; good or bad.

One great advantage we have which would mean the most to our clients (YOU) is the fact that we are ready to cover each other at a moment’s notice. This has already happened several times and instead of shooting a wedding solo with a bum ankle or while grieving, several girls were able to stand up and help out. So should I become ill without warning or even break a leg, there are 8 other girls that could help out should I need it. To me it is comforting to be able to offer this insurance to my brides.

So let me introduce you to everyone……

Hickory Women’s Show

Come see me this weekend at the Women’s Show, which will be held at the Hickory Metro Convention Center (HMCC) this weekend. The show is on Saturday from 10-8 and on Sunday from 12-6.  I will not be there on Saturday, but someone will be there to greet you.  I will be there all day on Sunday.

There will be many vendors and special shows going on all day, both days.

Back to School with the Freckled Frog!

Well, it is already time to get ready for school! It is hard to believe that summer is almost over and it is time to sharpen those pencils and get ready to stuff the brain full of knowledge goodness! Art Crawl

Tomorrow, Thursday night, we are having Art Crawl in Downtown Hickory.  I will be hosting Daniel Charles, an abstract oil painter that paints HUGE canvases.  He is really talented and I look forward to seeing what he has to display.  There will also be musicians, potters, more painters and free wine!  To get all of the information, click  HERE.    Hope to see all of you there!
