Kristen Saine
Posted on March 18, 2008
On Saturday Kristen Shook became Kristen Saine! It was a beautiful wedding and no detail was left out! The weather could have been better, but the rain let up just in time to do some fun outside portraits. You will get to see those soon, but first I thought I would share her bridal portraits. She is just so beautiful and we had a great time doing these despite the cold and snow!

Shiney Happy People
Posted on March 7, 2008
This week I took pictures of Emily and her fiancé, Zak. They are the smiliest couple I have ever met! I have known Emily since she was about 5 years old and I am so happy that she has found someone that is so good to her. And I have to say she is just as cute now as she was then!
Looking forward to the wedding this summer!

Cute!
Posted on February 25, 2008
This weekend I spent time with one of the cutest little girls I have met! Put some frosting on her and you could just about eat her! She is so full of personality and has ringlets of hair that fall in her face.
Take a look for yourself!

How do you say no to this face?!

It is also time to be thinking about Easter portraits. (I know!) My Easter Promo is below. It is a super deal and I look forward to seeing you on the square the Saturday before Easter, March 22nd.

Swedish Babies Part II
Posted on January 2, 2008
The next Swedish baby that I have had the chance to meet was also just a bump in a belly last time I was here. My sister-in-law had her second boy soon after we left last year and we have been so excited to finally get to meet him.
He is such a calm and observant baby. He just looks around and takes everything in. Here are a few images of him and his mom and big brother.

This little guy will walk before he ever crawls. He has absolutely no interest in crawling and loves to walk around!

Here are couple with big brother Linus. And when I say big, I mean a seven year old that is almost as tall as me! (okay, so maybe that is not saying much!)

These two just make me laugh!

This image makes me smile.

I’m here!
Posted on December 21, 2007
Just a quick note to let all of you know that we arrived safely in Sweden. We have been shopping, sleeping, and eating since we got here! We are still jet-lagged, but getting used to the schedule more each day. What is the most hard to get used to is the complete darkness at 3:30 p.m.! That is tough. Otherwise it is nice and cold…we are really enjoying seeing everyone again.
Until next post!

Jennifer + Wes
Posted on December 10, 2007
I am swamped with to-do’s before my trip to Sweden on Sunday, but I wanted to share a quick image taken by my associate, Erica. It is from an e-session last week and when I saw it I just gasped. It is wonderful! I am really excited with the addition of Erica to the Orange Cat family and look forward to seeing more of the images to come!

Thursday night Art Crawl
Posted on November 14, 2007
Thursday night downtown Hickory will be sponsoring an Art Crawl in Union Square. My next door neighbor and extremely talented oil painter, Kay Robb will be painting from a live model in the common area of my building. There will also be a book signing at Sally and Company, another neighbor of mine. Richard Russell will be signing the book “My dear Father and Mother…The Personal Letters of Livingston N. Clinard”, which illustrates a glimpse of life in Hickory in the late 1800’s. You can find more information on the downtown Hickory website.
I will be opening my doors for anyone that would like to come and have a glass of wine and chat. There are many of you that haven’t seen my studio yet, so please stop by and say hello!
The Art Crawl lasts from 5:30-9. Hope to see you!
And because I always have a picture with a post, I will leave with one from this weekend. This is from a bridal that I am so excited to share with you, but can’t just yet! We had so much fun…and I think a lot of passers-by did as well!
