Well you could say that I am just a little behind on the blogging! I thought I’d share a couple from a beautiful candlelit ceremony in the barrel room at Childress Vineyards in Lexington, NC. It was a cold and wet day but fortunately everything was held inside of the cozy barrel room and everyone stayed warm and dry.

Well unfortunately this was the worst weather I have ever experienced for a wedding! There was a constant drip and sometimes the rain even came down sideways! But Elizabeth was radiant! And not bothered at all by the weather. Besides the rain, it was a beautiful wedding, both in spirit and appearance. Here are a few from the day:

Erica had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful wedding at the Biltmore. She did such a fabulous job of capturing every thoughtful detail and beauty of the day. She had the opportunity to work with BobbyMark’s Designs who did the planning, design, and florals for the wedding. Biltmore is a beautiful place, but wow, did they really take it over the top!

Beautiful, Simple

Before my trip I had the pleasure of shooting a beautifully simple wedding for Laura and Keith. They choose The Yellow House for their wedding and reception and it is just the most charming place! This bed and breakfast is tucked away in Waynesville, NC and everywhere you look you see touches of old and natural beauty. It was the perfect location for an out of town bride with only months to prepare. Laura kept details to a minimal and kept it personal by recruiting friends and family to help. For those of you looking for a way to keep it simple, take a look….she did it beautifully…

She had the cake decorated to match the invitation, which was brilliantly done. If you look closely, you will may be able to see that the invitation has seeds in them. These truly are “green” invitations because after the wedding you can stick these in the ground and wait a couple of weeks and you will have flowers! Love it!

The ceremony was touching with many smiles and tears.

LOVED having so much time with the bride and groom afterwards to take some really beautiful portraits. How many of you can say you laid back and relaxed on a hammock on your wedding day? Well I strongly recommend it…doesn’t it look great?!

Laura and Justin were married several weeks ago and it was a fantastic day! I love that she made the guys were Carolina blue, even though they weren’t all fans! The reception was at Rock Barn Golf and Spa in Conover and the ceremony was in Hickory. I always love weddings at Rock Barn….it’s home for me! Here are just a couple from the day….

Saturday was my first wedding as a mommy and it felt good to get back to work!

Marie has been planning this wedding for a long time and I was excited to see all of the effort pay off…I knew there would not be a detail looked over! There are many images to share, but for now I leave you with the bride and groom…married after a year romance!

Thanks to a visit by the in-laws I have a few minutes to blog so I thought I would take advantage of it!

It is isn’t that often that Erica and I get to tag-team a wedding together, but I really enjoy it when we do! These images are from Brian and Laura’s wedding the beginning of March. For a March wedding in Asheville they were very lucky with beautiful weather. We were actually very hot! I am so happy for the two of them…it was such a sweet day and I know that there will be many to come in their marriage!

I thought that I would only share images that Erica took as I do not showcase her work enough!
